Jaago and Carlotta students enjoying EIA materials

English in Action recently provided Jaago Foundation (a Civil Society Organisation providing free English medium schooling to underprivileged kids) to reuse the EIA pilot phase stand-alone English classroom materials (figurines, posters and flash-cards) for their classes across Bangladesh.

The materials were given with a short training to six Jaago members. The aim of this training was to orient the Jaago team to be able to use the materials effectively in their classrooms.

This is a different set of action the project took with the aim to use the education materials which was outdated due to the updates in the NCTB curriculum. These stand-alone materials are attractive and can change the classroom with full of activities, which engages the students.

With the same objective, EIA also provided these materials to The Carlotta Center, an NGO working to give slum children (KG to Class V) a formal classroom education.

These materials have been found to bring tangible changes in English classroom activities across Bangladesh. Now, students from Jaago and Carlotta Center will learn and enjoy English in a fun environment, like the tens of thousands of students are learning through EIA all over Bangladesh.
