On 27th May, 2015 the Project Management Unit (PMU) organized an ‘Experience Sharing Meeting with EIA teachers’ at Proshika, Mirpur, Dhaka.
The main objective of this meeting was to hear from the teachers on their journey with EIA, how the good practices which they have now adopted can be continued and taken forward in the mainstream initiatives.
Dr. Md. Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal, ADG, DPE and Mr. Sanjoy Kumar Chowdhury, Director-Training, DPE honored the session as chief guest and special guest. Ms. Sue Williamson, Team Leader, EIA gave the welcome speech and Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Project Director, PMU, EIA chaired the event. Amongst others, DPE officials, EIA staff and teachers were present.
Mr. Abu Hena, asked the teachers about their experience after EIA trainings. Teachers shared their stories of change they have been noticing around classroom and students learning. The chief guest furthermore, shared his experience on language learning and thanked EIA for the contribution on English language teaching in Bangladesh.
Sue Williamson, in her welcome speech highlighted the importance of how students learn and how EIA is ensuring that children learn by small changes made by teachers in the classrooms.
Total 22 teachers participated in the meeting which included head teachers, Asst. teachers and teacher facilitators from different upazilas adjacent to Dhaka district.
