Manager Administration
English in Action (EIA) is a nine-year English language education programme implemented through a partnership between the UK Government (DFID) and the Government of Bangladesh. The goal of EIA is to contribute to the economic growth of Bangladesh by providing English language as a tool for better access to the world economy. To promote communicative language learning, EIA is aiming to reach a total of 25 million primary and secondary students and adult learners through the use of ICT, textbooks, supplementary materials and the media.
EIA is looking for a qualified and pro-active individual for the position of Manager Administration
Key Responsibilities:
The main tasks of the Manager Administration will be to manage and coordinate all administrative matters of EIA, including but not limited to:
Manage and coordinate all administrative matters on behalf of EIA Management
Prepare contracts for services and supplies, review contract conditions and legal requirements.
Cooperate closely with Manager Finance
Conduct HR administrative tasks, such as processing staff contracts, time sheet recording and arranging official documentation, including visa and permits for the project office and personnel;
Process and monitor the procurement of goods;
Maintain project-wide inventory lists
Coordinate compilation of tender documentation and supervise tender processes;
Manage administrative processes with project stakeholders;
Run all activities in accordance to EIA’s Project Manual and Employee Handbook and update when required;
Coordinate, support and assist in organising internal events, including workshops, training and seminars;
Supervise the procurement of office consumables and small capital items;
Interact with Government officials as necessary;

Required Skills:
Minimum Masters’ Degree in the field of Business Administration or equivalent;
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, of which at least 5 years in a senior position, in donor funded projects;
Extensive experience and knowledge in administration, documentation and archiving;
Sound experience in procurement/contracting;
Sound experience in inventory control management;
Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail;
Ability to work as an integral part of the project team;
Demonstrated ability to work independently and under time pressure ;
Strong interpersonal and practical problem-solving skills.
Highly proficient in computer software application (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Good command over written and spoken English
Contract: Initially for 1 year, with possibilities to renew.
Salary: Salary Other Benefits are dependent upon experience and qualifications. Attractive salary will be offered based on experience.
